Organizing and Registration of the Collection Photos of Objects in Order to Increase the Collection’s Accessibility

Over the years, objects from the collections of the Museum Volkenkunde (The National Museum of Ethnology) have been repeatedly photographed. Due to the large number of pieces and the lack of an organized system, its registration lagged far behind. Following the refurbishment of the museum in 2001, another large number of object photos were taken. This meant an enormous increase in the collection of object photos. In the period following, Iconoco organized these photos by culture, matched the corresponding number and registered the collection.
