The military collections at the Museum Bronbeek were housed in a newly built underground depot outside the estate near the nursery garden. Aside from the military collections, the ethnographic collections are also stored here. This facility was refurbished during the first half of 2010. Where necessary, the objects were sorted out, arranged and combined. The redesign was done by the relocation and placement of existing objects in drawers and shelves. The deposit space was arranged more conveniently and efficiently and stored in boxes made of acid free carton board. This was accomplished by reducing large collections of insignias, badges and decorations as well as by designing solutions for the storage of fragile objects.
